Designing with Sherwin-Williams Urbane Bronze: A Timeless Color Journey
Urbane Bronze is a captivating paint color that embodies warmth, depth, and sophistication. It is earthy with rich, warm undertones. I have used this color in several design projects and I've discovered it offers versatility for both commercial and residential spaces.
Color Characteristics
Urbane Bronze is a rich, warm greige with bronze undertones that create a sense of casual elegance. With a low Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of 8, it provides dramatic depth without feeling overwhelming. The color beautifully complements warm grays, neutral creams, olives, and light wood tones. It can be used for both interior and exterior color.
Exterior Applications
Urbane Bronze is a great color for exterior shutters, paired with brown and beige brick or stone, the color comes alive under natural sunlight, revealing its bronze splendor. The earthy tone creates a sophisticated, grounded aesthetic that enhances architectural details.
Interior Design Potential
Inside spaces, Urbane Bronze offers a powerful design statement. It introduces dramatic contrast without making rooms feel cold or flat. This hallway is one of my favorite designs. It showcases the Urbane Bronze walls in contrast to the beautiful white oak wall trim. Natural light filtering in on each end of the hallway accentuates its rich texture and lends to its dramatic effect.
Adjoining this hallway, are the restrooms, that feature a solid textured wallcovering that pairs perfectly with the rich hues of the Urbane Bronze. The stone veining combined with the wallcovering, mood lighting, textured backsplash and deep richness of the Urbane Bronze paint makes for a stunning combination!
